As you move through each space, you’ll discover how music once featured in daily life at the Hall, from the instruments on display to the spaces where it was played and enjoyed.

As dusk approaches, step outside to the Orangery for a live open-air performance of Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons by The Ebor Quartet, one of Yorkshire’s finest string quartets. Framed by the classical sculptures representing Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter above the Orangery, and surrounded by the quiet beauty of the parkland, this intimate concert offers a rare opportunity to experience music and setting in perfect harmony.
